As NIBA & Steadfast members, you are required to obtain a minimum of 50 CPD points over a two-year period. The current two-year period commenced 1 January this year.

It is recommended that brokers complete an average of 25 annually, to ensure they meet the minimum number of CPD points by the end of the two-year period.

Members can earn CPD points for completing both structured and unstructured CPD points but must obtain a minimum of 35 points from structured CPD activities. Examples of structured CPD include;

Undertaking further qualifications such as upgrading to a Tier 1 or Diploma qualification;
-completing a NIBA CPD accredited program;
-attending industry events that focus on education and/or professional development;
-participating in professional activities such as seminars, workshops, industry discussion groups, conferences etc; or
-undertaking industry leadership activities such as contributing articles, giving presentations or participating in mentoring programs.
